Adidam Holy Domains Projects

These projects within the Adidam Holy Domains serve to restore, preserve, and protect the hermitages and sanctuaries Empowered by Avatar Adi Da Samraj in the U.S., and contine the work of digitally archiving the audio, video, photographic, and handwritten artifacts of His Life and Work.

The Sacred Archives digital preservation project has been underway for a number of years. Its purpose is to digitally preserve the record of the life and work of Avatar Adi Da Samraj. The Sacred Archives contains a vast collection of videotape, audiotape, photographic, and handwritten artifacts created by and about Avatar Adi Da. The urgency of this project is due to the short window of time available to transfer all the archival artifacts to a digital medium. These artifacts will be digitally preserved in perpetuity as the eternal documentation of the Revelation and Blessing that Avatar Adi Da accomplished during his lifetime.

Recent earthquakes caused major cracks the walls of the Ordeal Bath Lodge, which houses the main hot springs baths on the Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary. The use of this temple is severely curtailed at this time. Temple-builder Bob Sabatino envisions a two-stage restoration project that will first stabilize and then fully replace all of the damaged walls of this old structure. The first stage will cost about $250,000 and full restoration will cost about $1 million.

Huge Helper (a.k.a. "The Hotel") is the central building on the Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary. Rich in history and nearly 100 years old, this large structure and has become unsafe due to repeated earthquake damage over the course of its lifetime. Major reconstruction is required to repair and bring the building up to current safety standards, and to renovate it as a museum which will feature the life history of Avatar Adi Da Samraj. Rebuilding of Huge Helper is a multi-year project that will cost $1.5-$2 million.

Free Standing Man is Avatar Adi Da’s residence at Da Love-Ananda Mahal Hermitage in Kauai, Hawaii. Sitting atop a cliff above the Wailua River, this unique temple is subject to the constant onslaught of the wet tropical climate and encroachment of the surrounding verdant jungle. This temple requires significant renovation to strengthen its basic structure, improve the integrity of its roofs, and to protect it from the hurricanes expected in the coming years. Remodeling of Free Standing Man is a multi-year project that will cost about $500K.

To ensure the ongoing sanctity and tranquility of the various Holy Domains empowered hermitages and sanctuaries, it is important that we acquire ownership of key adjacent properties as they become available.  Your donations will help guarantee that the empowered hermitages and sanctuaries are fully protected and kept available for present and future generations.
